PM Modi returns to Delhi after Russia and Austria visit


Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned to Delhi on Thursday morning, July 11, after completing his visit to Russia and Austria. After concluding his visit, PM shared a post on X  account and he thanked Austria’s Chancellor, government, and the people for their warm welcome.

 PM Modi first went to Russia, where he participated in the 22nd India-Russia summit with President Vladimir Putin. This was his first visit to Moscow after the Ukraine conflict.

PM Narendra Modi told Russian President Putin that solution to Ukraine conflict not possible on battlefield. On Tuesday, President Putin awarded Prime Minister Modi the ‘Order of St. Andrew the Apostle’ for his contribution in promoting relations between the two countries. This award was announced in 2019. From Moscow, PM Modi went to Austria. He was the first Indian Prime Minister to visit this country in about 41 years.

PM Modi met Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen and Chancellor Karl Nehammer and discussed increasing mutual cooperation in many issues including dealing with environment-climate change. He discussed the ongoing disputes around the world with both the leaders, including the Ukraine conflict and the situation in West Asia.
