Prabhas' 'Kalki' OTT Release Date Fixed! Streaming Starts on This Special Day!


Pan-India Superstar Prabhas’ latest film is ‘Kalki 2898 AD, which falls under the genre of mythology and science fiction thriller. Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone is the heroine. Big B Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Shobana, Rajendra Prasad, and others play supporting roles in the film directed by Nag Ashwin. Apart from these, Ram Gopal Varma, Brahmanandam, Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salman, and Mrunal Thakur played guest roles. This huge-star-cast film was released worldwide on June 27 and is showering in collections. Prabhas’ film has already crossed ₹900 crores and is very close to the ₹1000 crore mark. The movie got an unexpected response not only at the South box office but also in the North. It means the direction of Nag Ashwin, the acting of Prabhas, Amitabh, Deepika, graphics, and action sequences that are getting super responses; hence, audiences are getting flocked to theatres.

Now, at a juncture when the collections of ‘Kalki’ are raining at theatres, comes an exciting update about its OTT release date. Digital streaming rights for this movie were bagged by two OTT platforms. Amazon Prime bagged the rights for Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages; Netflix bought the rights for the Hindi version.

Reports say that the producers of ‘Kalki’ have fixed a deal with OTT platforms wherein the film will release on OTT about 7-8 weeks after its theatrical release. With this deal, Kalki is going to start streaming on OTT from August 15 as an Independence Day gift. Since that falls on a long weekend, there are high chances that more people will end up watching the film. Now, it is heard that the OTT platforms are also locking this date; all these are rumors as of now. Within a few more days, there will be full clarity on the OTT release date of Kalki.
