Nag Ashwin and Rebel star Prabhas came up with a science fiction drama ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which was released on 27th June. The movie has turned out blockbuster at the box office and it is on a record breaking spree. According to the traders report, Prabhas starrer Kalki 2989 AD needs Just Rs 55 lakh to dethrone Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan starrer Jawan.
After ‘Baahubali 2’, ‘KGF 2’, ‘RRR’ and ‘Jawaan’, the movie which has collected the highest collection in the history of Indian cinema is ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ which is at the fifth position. Nag Ashwin’ magnum opus needs just Rs 55 lakhs, to surpass Shahrukh Khan starrer Jawan which is at the fourth position.

In its full time run, Jawan minted Rs 640.25 crores at the box office whereas Kalki 2989 AD has collected Rs 639.70 crores. The traders are expecting that within one week Prabhas starrer will beat Jawan.
Jawan’s theatrical run came to an end in the eighth week, while Kalki 2898 AD has just entered its sixth week.
Kalki 2989 AD also has Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan aka Big B, Kamal Haasan, Bollywood beauties Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in the important roles. SS Rajamouli, Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda played the camoes.
