Prime Minister Narendra Modi Advocates for Clean Governance and Strengthened Ties during UAE Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the World Government Summit in Dubai, emphasized the pivotal role of clean and transparent governance in addressing global challenges. He praised UAE President Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed’s leadership and called for technologically-driven governance to meet evolving societal needs. Modi’s focus on women-led development and socio-economic empowerment underscores his commitment to inclusive growth.

During his seventh visit to the UAE since 2015, Modi is set to engage in discussions to enhance bilateral ties, with the inauguration of the BAPS Mandir in Abu Dhabi as a highlight. The robust economic partnership between India and the UAE, reflected in bilateral trade reaching $85 billion, is further bolstered by agreements like the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and the Local Currency Settlement System.

Moreover, the significant Indian expatriate community in the UAE, numbering around 3.5 million, contributes to the country’s socio-economic development and strengthens people-to-people ties. Modi’s visit underscores the growing collaboration between India and the UAE, reaffirming their status as crucial partners in the global arena.
