There was a strong buzz in the film industry that Kollywood star Vijay Sethupathi was offered to play the role of Ram Charan’ father in RC16. But the actor had turned down this crucial role in Rc16 which would be helmed by Buchi Babu Sana.
Apparently, Buchi Babu Sana revealed he played the role of father in Buchi Babu Sana’ magnum opus Uppena and the recently released Maharaja too. Both the movies received immense acclaim and that he doesn’t want to get typecast in father roles. That is the exact reason, Vijay said no to Buchi Babu for RC16.

During the promotional activities of Maharaja’ Telugu version, Vijay Sethupathi revealed that Buchi Babu had narrated RC16’s script to him and that Charan starrer will be a sureshot blockbuster.
Vijay Sethupathi is eagerly waiting to act in the straight Telugu film. The sources say that Vijay Sethupathi is clear about his choices and despite being offered big money, he was not tempted and just thumbed it down since he wanted to do something different in Tollywood and was waiting for it.
