Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will unveil the statue of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in front of Dr BR Ambedkar Secretariat today. Deputy CM Mallu Bhattiwickramarka, PCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, ministers, Congress party state affairs in-charge Deepadas Munshi, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and big leaders will participate in this program which will be held at 4 pm.
Actually Revanth Reddy’ govt thought to organize this program last month itself. On the 20th of last month, on Rajiv Gandhi’s birth anniversary, the government had planned to unveil the statue through the hands of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

But due to some reasons it got postponed. On the other hand, the BRS has strongly opposed the installation of Rajiv Gandhi’s statue in front of the Secretariat. There is a demand to set up a statue of Mother Telangana at that place.
Recently, CM Revanth Reddy performed Bhoomi Puja for the installation of Telangana Talli’ statue opposite the main gate inside the Secretariat. It was announced that the statue of Telangana Talli will be unveiled on December 9.
