State Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar marked a significant milestone on Saturday, December 30, by inaugurating 80 new RTC buses at the Ambedkar statue on NTR Marg. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar expressed his contentment with the introduction of 1,050 new buses into the RTC system. Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the government has prioritized rapid implementation, resulting in essential services like free bus travel for women. As a testament to its success, over 6 crore women have benefitted from this initiative, leading to an impressive surge in bus occupancy rates, often exceeding 100%.

A budget allocation of Rs. 400 crores has been earmarked for acquiring state-of-the-art buses, enhancing commuter experience, and ensuring environmental sustainability.
