“Salaar: Cease Fire – Part 1” Sees Strong Box Office Numbers and Controversy

Rebel Star Prabhas is once again proving his box office prowess with “Salaar: Cease Fire – Part 1.” The film’s advance booking numbers are in, and they are nothing short of impressive. The Telugu version leads the charge, amassing a staggering ₹2.34 crore in gross revenue, with ticket sales exceeding 1 lakh. Following closely, the Malayalam adaptation garners a respectable ₹1.61 crore, while the Tamil and Kannada versions contribute with over ₹1 crore and ₹25 lakh respectively.

However, the film’s distribution strategy has raised eyebrows. “Salaar” has opted out of premiering in major national chains like PVR INOX and Miraj Cinemas across the South. This decision has not gone unnoticed, sparking discussions and speculations within the industry.

Adding fuel to the fire, Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films, the powerhouse behind blockbuster hits like “Kantara” and the “KGF” franchise, has voiced concerns. They allege that multiplexes are showing preferential treatment towards Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming Bollywood flick, “Dunki,” as indicated by PTI reports.

As “Salaar: Cease Fire – Part 1” continues its cinematic journey, both its box office performance and the surrounding controversies are setting the stage for an intriguing chapter in the world of Indian cinema.
