In a conference held on Monday, the Supreme Court collegiums recommended the names of 6 advocates as judges in the High Court of Telangana. It sent proposals to the Union government to appoint practising advocates E.V. Venugopal, Nagesh Bheemapaka, Pulla Karthik, Kaja Sarath, J Srinivasa Rao and Namavarapu Rajeshwar Rao. Telangana High Court will have a total number of 33 judges, if Centre grants the proposal.
E.V. Venugopal has 28 years of experience in writ jurisdiction and international law. He had accomplished his BA and LLB. He has also practised as advocate in both the High Court and the Supreme Court. Nagesh Bheemapaka belongs to the SC community and is a native of Khammam district. He enrolled as an advocate, after completing his LLB. At present, he is the government pleader for medical and health in the Telangana HC.
Pulla Karthik completed his education in government institutions. He enrolled as an advocate in 1996. He was appointed as government pleader in 2015, at the erstwhile AP Administrative Tribunal in Hyderabad. Kaja Sarath has been practising as an advocate in various courts after his enrolment in 1997. He did his Bachelor of Law from Campus Law College, Andhra University.
When it comes to Srnivasa Rao, he was enrolled as advocate in 1999, after completing his LLB from Osmania University and joined the chambers of senior counsel G.Krishna Murthy. Singareni Collieries Company Ltd. appointed him as standing counsel in 2015. Namavarapu Rajeshwar Rao is currently an assistant solicitor general of India for the High Court of Telangana since 2019. In 2001, he was enrolled as an advocate.
