Shikhar Dhawan retirement: Shikhar Dhawan, popularly known as Gabbar, announced his retirement from international cricket after playing 34 Tests. A veteran of 167 ODIs, 34 Tests and 68 ODIs, Shikhar Dhawan is one of India’s most formidable white-ball openers.
Shikhar Dhawan has taken a decision to retire from international and domestic cricket. Early in the morning on August 24, Shikhar Dhawan took to his social media account and announced his retirement by posting an emotional video. This left-handed batsman was out of the team for a long time. After the arrival of young openers like Shubman Gill, his return to the team seemed difficult.

There is currently no update on whether he will play IPL or not. Shikhar Dhawan, who is almost 39 years old, played ODI cricket for India for the first time in 2010, after which he got a chance to debut in T20 and then Test format.
Dhawan, a resident of Delhi, was an aggressive batsman who was famous for tearing apart bowlers. Dhawan, who created a new style statement with his twirled mustache, will always be remembered for his signature style of hitting his thighs after taking a catch.
