The eagerly awaited day for TV viewers has finally arrived. The much-anticipated Telugu reality show Bigg Boss 8 kicked off with a grand launch on September 1, 2024, at 7 PM. This season is once again hosted by King Nagarjuna. True to its tradition, the show began with numerous twists and turns, but this time, there’s a notable change: instead of sending contestants individually into the house, they entered in pairs.
A total of 14 contestants have entered the house, with seven girls and seven boys. Instead of the usual solo entries, they made their entrance in pairs, creating an immediate buzz. As always, King Nagarjuna made a spectacular entrance, energizing the audience with his dance to a song from the movie Devara. His look with a rugged beard won the hearts of viewers.

Following Nagarjuna’s entrance, the contestants made their debut in pairs. The pairs include Yashmi Gowd and Nikhil Maliyakkal, Abhay Naveen and Prerana, Aditya and Sonia, and Bebakka and Shekhar Basha. Adding to the excitement, director Anil Ravipudi also appeared as a special guest. He brought both good and bad news: while he assured that Bebakka would stay for ten weeks, he shocked everyone by announcing an elimination on the very first day. Nagamani was initially eliminated, leaving everyone stunned and emotional, but it turned out to be a prank, adding a surprising twist.
Aside from the drama of the launch, there is an unexpected twist regarding the prize money for Bigg Boss Season 8. Traditionally, previous seasons offered a prize of ₹50 lakh. This season, however, the prize money has not been disclosed. Instead, Bigg Boss announced that the prize would be “limitless,” causing a stir among the contestants who were initially shocked by the lack of a clear amount. The contestants were encouraged to perform well, making the first day of the show a lively and eventful one.
