TDP leaders reacted to the murder of the former Sarpanch, accusing the YSRCP leaders of orchestrating the attack out of jealousy over TDP’s recent victory. They further alleged that Srinivasulu was brutally murdered for canvassing actively for the TDP in the last elections. TDP National General Secretary and Minister Nara Lokesh condemned the killing on social media and clarified that the YSRCP goons were behind the murder of the TDP leader and lambasted at the ruling party’s continued involvement in such heinous acts. Lokesh warned that the TDP’s patience should not be mistaken for weakness and asked the government to take strict action against those responsible. He assured the victim’s family that TDP would stand by them.
The TDP leaders also demanded strict action against the YSRCP leaders involved in the incident. The MLA, K.E. Shyam Babu, visited the crime scene and was moved to tears. He alleged, along with others, that Srinivasulu was killed because TDP secured a huge majority in Hosur during the recent elections.
