‘Ahimsa’ is slated to be released in theatres this Friday (June 2). Director Teja has revealed that the film will feature about 13-14 fights. One hopes most of them are not longer than 40-60 seconds. Otherwise, the audience will surely be troubled!
Interestingly, of those many fights, Teja himself has choreographed about four. What necessitated those many fights in the first place? The film’s male lead (played by newcomer Abhiram Daggubati) undergoes an ideological transformation after he realizes that non-violence has to make sense. On occasions, violence is the right thing, he realizes. That’s when he unleashes his fury.
The film, starring Geethika Tiwary as the heroine, has got the background score from Anup Rubens. RP Patnaik has set the songs to tune. ‘Ahimsa’ features many newcomers. Teja is planning to make ‘Rakshasa Raju’, a political-crime actioner, with Rana Daggubati next.
