Telangana High Court has ruled that action should be taken against the MLAs who contest the elections with one party and jump to another party after winning. It gave a shock to the MLAs who won on BRS ticket in Telangana and joined Congress.
The ruling BRS party was defeated in the elections held at the end of last year in Telangana. On the other hand, the Congress party came to power. Moreover, Revanth Reddy, who brought the party to power as the PCC president at that time, was given the post of Chief Minister. Moreover, Revanth Reddy launched Operation Akarsh against the BRS party since assuming power.
Revanth Reddy, who criticized KCR’s operation Akarsh in the past, launched the same operation Akarsh. Kadiam Srihari who won as MLA from Station Ghanpur from BRS, Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender and Bhadrachalam MLA Tellam Venkatarao among others have switched to the party. Revanth Reddy invited them with a party scarf.

BRS gave notices to Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar to disqualify the three MLAs. BRS MLAs Padi Kaushik Reddy and KP Vivekananda Goud filed separate petitions in the High Court after the Speaker put it on hold without taking any decision. Telangana High Court, which investigated these petitions, issued orders to the Speaker’s office on Monday to take immediate action on them.
The Court advised the speaker to look into those petitions and release the schedule for their hearing. Telangana High Court has made it clear that when the notices will be issued to the MLAs, when the arguments will be heard, when the proceedings will be completed, etc, all the details should be mentioned in this schedule. A deadline of four weeks was given for this. It has warned that if the schedule is not released, the case will be taken up for sumoto trial.
