Nampally Court has granted interim bail to ACP Bhujanga Rao in the phone tapping case. Bhujangarao was granted interim bail for 15 days due to ill health.
He was granted bail with the condition that he cannot leave Hyderabad without the permission of the court. Bhujanga Rao is A 2 in Telangana Phone tapping case. He was arrested on March 23 in this case.

Since March 23, Bhujanga Rao has been in judicial remand on allegations of being part of a team of police officers who allegedly conspired to tap the phones of political bigwigs, including A Revanth Reddy and his family leading industrialists, private individuals to help BRS retain power in Telangana.
The investigation of the case continues as the phones of opposition leaders, judges, media representatives, realtors, jewelers and celebrities were tapped with special tapping equipment imported from abroad on the orders of the elders of the previous government.
