Telangana to Unveil New Emblem and Anthem on Formation Day

In a significant cultural development, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has approved the official anthem and emblem for the state of Telangana. These symbols will be unveiled during the Telangana Formation Day celebrations on June 2. This announcement followed a review meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence in Jubilee Hills, attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, and other key contributors including lyricist Ande Sri, music director M.M. Keeravani, and emblem designer Rudra Rajesham. The final version of the anthem was performed live for the Chief Minister and other officials during the meeting.

Celebrating Telangana’s Heritage

The newly approved anthem and emblem are designed to reflect the rich culture and traditions of Telangana. The anthem, which includes tunes paying homage to the martyrs of Telangana, aims to inspire pride and unity among the citizens. The emblem, meticulously crafted by Rudra Rajesham, symbolizes the state’s heritage and aspirations.

Grand Celebrations Planned

The Telangana government has meticulously planned the Formation Day celebrations, which will take place at the Parade Grounds and along Tank Bund. These venues will host a variety of cultural and recreational activities, ensuring a vibrant and inclusive celebration.

Events at Parade Grounds

The Parade Grounds will be the focal point of the official ceremonies, where the anthem and emblem will be formally unveiled. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with his Cabinet colleagues, will be present to mark this historic occasion. The venue will host several cultural programs showcasing Telangana’s diverse heritage.

Festivities at Tank Bund

Tank Bund will transform into a lively hub of entertainment and celebration. A carnival-like atmosphere will prevail with laser shows, food stalls, gaming booths, and handicraft exhibits. Approximately 80 handicraft stalls will display the state’s traditional arts and crafts, providing a platform for local artisans. The gaming stalls will offer a variety of entertainment options for families and children.

Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present

The Telangana Formation Day celebrations are not just about entertainment; they are also a tribute to the state’s journey and its heroes. The anthem’s tribute to Telangana martyrs serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made for the state’s formation.

Inclusive Festivities

The state government aims to ensure that the celebrations are inclusive and accessible to all. Special arrangements are being made to accommodate large crowds at both venues. Security measures are being put in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees.

Looking Ahead

As Telangana gears up for its Formation Day, the introduction of the new anthem and emblem marks a significant milestone in the state’s journey. These symbols of pride and identity will inspire future generations and foster a deeper connection to the state’s cultural roots.
