Telugu youths who go for higher studies and jobs in Texas and get involved in prostitution cases have created a stir. Two days ago in the early morning of 22nd August, 18 people were detained in a sting operation conducted by the Texas police. Many of them were accused of being caught committing adultery. 7 Indians, including 5 Telugu youths, were arrested by the Texas police. The rest are from other countries.

Police arrested 7 Indians, including 5 Telugu youths from Denton, Texas, in a sting operation on prostitution. They were arrested in an anti-prostitution sting operation conducted by the Denton County Sheriff’s Office.

- Nikhil Bandi – charged with attempting to evade arrest
- Monish Galla – charged with soliciting prostitution
- Nikhil Kummari – charged with evading arrest
- Jaikiran Mekala – charged with soliciting a minor under 18 for prostitution and evading arrest
- Karthik Rayapati – charged with adultery
