Tamil star actor Vijay has received good news from the Election Commission. The commission has officially recognized the political party founded by him, the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam. This announcement was made by the party through a statement. Both Vijay and his fans are celebrating this development.
“We submitted an application to the Indian Election Commission on February 2, requesting the registration of Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam as a political party. The Election Commission has now legally recognized our party and permitted us to participate in electoral politics as a registered party. We are thrilled to share this news with you,” Vijay said.
Vijay has also announced his intention to contest the 2026 elections under his party’s banner. There is currently a positive sentiment towards Vijay among the public.

In a related event, Vijay unveiled his party’s flag at the party headquarters in Panaiyur, Chennai. The flag features red and yellow colors, with a red circle in the center containing a shirish flower surrounded by stars. The stars are blue and green, with the flower flanked by decorative elephant figures.
