Performance: Thalapathy Vijay is the major highlights of this film. We have seen his trademark swag and heroism in many movies but this time he surprises beyond that in this film The GOAT. He is especially in the negative shade. Also, Prabhudeva, Jayam Ravi and Prashant who appeared with him were perfectly set in their roles and impressed. Sneha delivered a decent performance in her role. Meenakshi Chaudhary did well in her key scenes. Her glamour is highlighted. Vijay’s marked dialogues and in the climax the scenes shown highlighting Vijay’s roles with the Chennai Mumbai match commentary gives the fans a feast. The rest of the cast performed accordingly.

Technical: The Storyline of The GOAT is predictable. The production values are very good.. It should be said that some aspects are weak. Vijay’s de-aging look is impressive. The team showed Vijay’s scenes well in the young look. And in some scenes, the background VFX work looks very weak. Yuvan Shanakar Raja’ songs are very average but he elevates some scenes with BGM. The cinematography is good in this movie. Editing should be better. And when it comes to the work of director Venkat Prabhu he did decent job, But his movies want something new. This movie The GOAT misses it. Venkat Prabhu stole the Gemini man concept of Hollywood movie and changed it with fan stuff here and there to suit Vijay.
Analysis: Overall, The GOAT- “The Greatest of All Time” is a decent action drama. Vijay’ fans are excited to see him in a negative role. The story which seems to be overstretched and the screenplay which is predictable at many places disappoint.
