The latest Bollywood horror thriller Stree 2 is currently making waves in theaters. However, even before the movie has completed a single day in cinemas, discussions about its OTT release have already begun.
Stree 2, starring Bollywood beauty Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is the sequel to the 2018 super hit Stree. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the sequel is titled Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank.
Released on Thursday, August 15, coinciding with Independence Day, the movie has received positive feedback. Now, attention has shifted to its OTT release. Fans are eagerly speculating whether the movie will be available on major OTT platforms like Amazon Prime, Netflix, or Hotstar.

Based on the recent trend of Bollywood releases, it appears that Stree 2 may be released on OTT around two months later, possibly after October 15. Bollywood experts estimate that it is likely to stream on Amazon Prime. However, there has been no official announcement regarding the OTT release.
Talking about Stree 2, the movie is directed by Amar Kaushik, with Shraddha Kapoor playing a key role and Rajkummar Rao in the lead. The film also features an important cast including Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana. The story picks up exactly where the first Stree movie left off. In the village of Chanderi, the residents worship Stree, believing they are finally free from her terror.

But just as they begin to celebrate, a new menace emerges—a headless ghost that starts haunting the village. The villagers call this ghost Sarkata. Unlike in the first movie where Stree targeted men, this ghost kidnaps women, particularly modern ones. To solve this mystery, Bikki, Jana, Bittu, and Rudra come together once again to save the village.
The plot takes a special twist when Bittu’s girlfriend is also kidnapped by the ghost. Around the same time, they find a book called Chanderi Purana, which contains the story of the Sarkata ghost. The story revolves around how the heroes use this knowledge to defeat the ghost.
