The arrest of former CM Chandrababu Naidu, who is right now serving as Leader of Opposition in AP Assembly in Skill Development scam, has created a sensation in AP politics. While TDP party leaders and workers are firing on CM YS Jagan over the issue, YSRCP members are hitting back at TDP’s criticism with same vigour. However, those who are neutral are cautiously responding on the high profile arrest. Barring Janasena party chief Pawan Kalyan, no other party or organisation has come up with a strong stand on Chandrababu’s arrest.
Toeing the same cautious line, even Telugu Fillm Industry (Tollywood) is staying away from the issue. Barring few celebrities like Raghavendra Rao and Aswini Dutt, who are openly associated with TDP, most of the influential figures of Tollywood stayed silent on the issue. Its an open fact that either supporting Chandrababu’s arrest or condemning it, will directly make Tollywood insiders enemies of one of the two parties. Therefore without taking any side, almost all the star heroes, directors, heroines, producers and technicians stayed away from making any comment on Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest issue, which is a burning topic in AP right now.
