Vande Mataram by Austrian choir in grand welcome for PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic visit to Austria, first in 41 years, featured Vande Mataram tribute and enthusiastic welcome from the Austrian officials.

A special rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’ by Austrian artists greeted India’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the hotel Ritz-Carlton in Vienna, where PM arrived after two days visit to Russia.  

On Tuesday, PM Modi arrived in Austria. He is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the country in over 41 years. Smt Indira Gandhi was the last Prime Minister to visit the country in the year 1983.

Upon his arrival, PM Modi was welcomed by the Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer at the airport.  From there 2 leaders proceeded to Ritz-Carlton hotel.

The Austrian artists performed Vande Mataram to welcome PM Modi as he arrived at the Ritz-Carlton and he was greeted by the members of the Indian community at the hotel.

 PM and Chancellor will also address business leaders from the India and Austria.
