Suriya is set to star in Vaadi Vaasal, helmed by sensational filmmaker Vetrimaaran, whose reputation is consolidated with every new release. On the other hand, he was working on his next titled Viduthalai 2, a cop action drama that consumed more time than expected and delayed the starting process of Suriya’s film.
Vetrimaaran recently shared an exciting update on Vaadi Vaasal. He tweeted, “Even Valaipechu laughed and said that we should rename the movie as Moodi Vaasal as we have not started it yet. But we will start very soon after finishing Viduthalai.” This has put to rest speculations that Vaadi Vaasal was dropped due to the delays.

As the Jallikattu sequences are very difficult to shoot, the team has opted for quite a huge amount of CGI work. This rural drama with an action backdrop will have music scores done by GV Prakash Kumar, who is producing it under V Creations, with Kalaipuli S Thanu.
