Vettaiyan, starring Superstar Rajinikanth, is directed by Jai Bhim fame TJ Gnanavel, revolves around fake encounters. After Jailer, once again Rajinikanth will be seen in cop avatar in this upcoming actioner.

The upcoming action drama also has Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, GM Sundar, Rohini, and Rao Ramesh. It is produced by Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions whereas the music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Vettaiyan will clash with Suriya starrer much hyped action drama Kanguva at the box office as it is also arriving on the same day i.e 10th October.
