Vijay Sethupathi and Manju Warrier are playing the lead roles in Viduthalai Part 2. The sequel of Viduthalai Part 1 is geared to focus more on Vijay’s character Perumal’s story. Today the makers of Viduthalai Part 2 announced the official release date of the film. Directed by Vetrimaaran, this period crime thriller Viduthalai 2 will be released on 20th December 2024.
Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai Part 1 was a blockbuster and it focused on Soori’s character, Constable Kumaresan, tasked with capturing Vijay’s character, Perumal Vaathiyaar, the leader of Makkal Padai, an extremist group.

After a derailed train sets off a chain of events, the first part ends with Perumal telling Kumaresan the truth about attack, asking him and the police to dig deeper.
Viduthalai Part 2, which will also be released in Telugu as Vidudala Part 2, will see Vijay Sethiptahi reunite with Anurag Kashyap. The upcoming action drama also has Gautam Vasudev Menon, and Rajiv Menon in supporting roles. The movie is jointly bankrolled by RS Infotainment and Grassroot Film Company, with Red Giant Movies presenting the project. Ilaiyaraaja is scoring the music.
