Today the Supreme Court ordered setting up 10 member’s national task force to make recommendations on prevention of the violence and safe working conditions for medical professionals; days after the r…e and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata sparked nationwide protests.

A bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud also lashed out at the West Bengal government and the hospital administration for the delay in filing the FIR.
A bench comprising Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Mishra also said what action is being taken against former principal Sandeep Ghosh. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta has demanded the removal of the Kolkata Police Chief, alleging a breakdown in law and order in West Bengal. He said that it was atrocious to kill a young doctor with a perverted mind. He said that he does not want to make this a political issue.
