Will Sachin Pilot’s dream fulfil?

Young and charismatic Congress leader Sachin Pilot is just few steps away from fulfilling his life’s biggest dream. He is all set to become Chief Minister of Rajasthan, provided things work out in his favour. In most probability, political observers opine that he will be sworn in as the next CM of Rajasthan, if incumbent CM Ashok Gehlot becomes Congress party president.

A change in the guard is necessitated in desert state, as Ashok Gehlot is all set to contest for the Indian National Congress (INC) president post. Almost after more than two decades, grand old party is holding internal elections to choose its leader. With Gandhis staying away from the elections, a Gandhi loyalist is expected to be chosen for the top post. A vocal Gandhi loyalist, Ashok Gehlot has filed his nomination and is widely expected to be the next prez of Congress party.

If Ashok Gehlot becomes Congress party national chief, he has to resign for Chief Minister’s post. Because Congress party follows ‘one man one post’ rule. In that case, Sachin Pilot is seen as a worthy choice for Rajasthan CM post. It is said that already Gandhis have given their nod for Sachin.

The young and charismatic leader was credited for bringing Congress back into power in Rajasthan, but internal politics prevented him from becoming CM in 2018. But, political observers opine that now nothing can stop Sachin Pilot from becoming CM. Even if Ashok Gehlot, a bitter foe of Sachin, opposes also, Sachin Pilot might get the top job as he is popular and also has Gandhis support this time.
