According to sources, the 2023 Indian Premier League auction will be held in Bengaluru on December 16. The upcoming IPL, which will see the return of the home-and-away format after three years, is expected to begin from March last week.
This year’s auction will be a mini auction, where the purse at the IPL-2023 could be Rs 95 crore. While last year’s mega auction was held at Rs 90 crore. The next season of men’s IPL will also follow back to the home-and-away format with all the ten teams playing their home matches at their respective venues.
Sourav Ganguly, who is the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India said to state associations on the 22nd of September. However, the 2023 IPL auction ceremony is going to be held in a simpler manner. More details will be revealed soon.
