After the launch of Russian missile assault on Tuesday, Naveen who is studying at Kharkiv National Medical University in Karnataka, has been killed in the morning hours during a terrible affray that has taken place in Ukraine. His demise has been recognised by ministry of External Affairs.
The incident was happened while Naveen was leaving off with some people in order to get food from the residence of governor in Kharkiv. After a while, Naveen’s dead body was identified by his friends and the local student surveyor.
The Ministry of External Affairs, Arindam Bagchi also shared the news through the Twitter, by tweeting, “With profound sorrow, we confirm that an Indian student lost his life in shelling in Kharkiv this morning. The ministry is in touch with his family”. Further, he added, ” Foreign secretary is calling in ambassadors of Russia and Ukraine to reiterate our demand for urgent safe passage for Indian nationals who are still in Kharkiv and cities in other conflict zones. Similar action is also being undertaken by our ambassadors in Russia and Ukraine.”
The chief minister of Karnataka, Bommai has spoken to Naveen’s father and expressed his sympathy towards the grieving family. He said that all efforts will be made to bring back the body of the Indian student.
