Cannes Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Cannes, France, which previews new films of all categories, along with documentaries, from all across the globe. It is going to be held from May 17-28, this year. Several celebs are invited to the event to take part in it. And, one of them is the Bollywood ace actor Akshay Kumar.
But unfortunately, the actor has tested positive for Covid and missed a chance to attend for the grandiose. He took to Twitter to inform his fans about getting infected by the virus. His tweet reads, “Was really looking forward to rooting for our cinema at the India Pavilion at #Cannes 2022, but have sadly tested positive for Covid. Will rest it out. Loads of best wishes to you and your entire team, @ianuragthakur. Will really miss being there.”
However, this is not the first time, Akshay has tested positive for Covid. He was infected by the virus in April last year. Professionally, he is waiting for the release of his upcoming period drama Prithviraj, which is also the debut of Manushi Chillar. The film will hit the screens in June.
