Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced the official government orders late Monday. The GO contains full details of ticket prices which include additional GST charges. It says the rates of film tickets are set according to certain areas. In the GO, it is notified that the prices are ranging from Rs 20 to 250.
It reads, the films which were produced with more than Rs 100 crores budget can increase the ticket prices, and the ticket rates cannot be changed according to the remuneration of the hero or the director. The ticket prices can be increased within the first ten days after the release and small budget films will be played in 5 shows per day.
The films which have their at least 20% shooting in Andhra Pradesh can prosper with the mentioned rates. The government offers a 10% discount on the films that were shot in the state. And twenty five per cent of seats should be allotted for the non-premium category in every theater.
