The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was alleged critically by the BJP national secretary Y. Satya Kumar for failing to develop the capital city Amaravati for Andhra Pradesh. He challenged the chief minister to take oath on the holy book; he believed that he never supported Amaravati and offered to quit politics if he could do so.
Satya Kumar wrote a letter to the chief minister on Friday, criticising him that the statements being made by Jagan Mohan Reddy and his ministers on the current padayatra by the farmers in support of Amaravati were creating regional hatred and asked him not to create obstacles to the padayatra.
He also poured scorn on the chief minister for not calling the agitating farmers for talks even as they were taking up a stir for over 1,000 days and said that it resulted in the problem getting complicated. Kumar pointed out that the YSRC government was resorting to looting of lands and properties in the North Andhra region and asked the government as to how many projects it completed in the Rayalaseema region.
