Congress made a sensational allegation on BJP, saying saffron party is plotting to kill Mallikarjun Kharge unable to digest the rising popularity of Congress party in Karnataka. AICC general secretary and Karnataka Incharge Sandeep Surjewala made this shocking allegation on Saturday.
Playing out a audio clip, Surjewala accused Manikanta Rathod, BJP candidate from Chittapur, for threatening and plotting to kill Mallikarjun Kharge and his family. He also alleged that Rathod is close to Prime minister Narendra Modi.
Manikanta Rathod is contesting against Priyank Kharge in Chittapur constituency falling under Kalaburgi parliamentary segment. Priyank is the son of Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge. Rathod was arrested last year for threatening to kill Priyank Kharge.
