On November 5th, we celebrate the birthday of the renowned filmmaker, Tharun Bhascker, whose journey in the world of cinema has been nothing short of remarkable. Born in Chennai and raised in Hyderabad, Tharun’s multicultural upbringing is a reflection of his father’s roots in Warangal, Telangana, and his mother’s origins in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
His education took place at the prestigious Hyderabad Public School, and he later pursued his passion for filmmaking by graduating from the New York Film Academy.
Tharun’s directorial debut came with the critically acclaimed “Pelli Choopulu” in 2016, a film that not only won him the National Film Award for Best Screenplay for Dialogues but also inspired remakes in various languages, including Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil.
