Political enthusiasts from all over India are eagerly tracking the Karnataka elections results. The counting has started and according to the early updates Congress is slightly leading in the race.
According to the updates till now, while Congress is leading in about 84 seats, BJP is leading in about 72 seats. Janata Dal Secular is leading in about 20 seats. While it is still very early to come to conclusions, initial leads have made Congress upbeat.
While Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP campaign in Karnataka, Congress fought as team. Rahul Gandhi, Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi, former CM Siddaramaiah, Karnataka Congress chief DK Shiva Kumar led Congress from the front.
