The Congress party has officially registered a complaint with the Election Commission against BRS MLC Kavita’s poem, accusing her of violating the election code. Niranjan, Chairman of the State Congress Election Committee, confirmed the complaint submission to the Central Election Commission.
Kavita exercised her voting right at Nandinagar DAV School polling station in Banjara Hills and later appealed to the media to support BRS. However, the Congress contends that this call for support breaches the Election Code. Niranjan specified that they have urged CEO Vikasraj to take appropriate action against MLC Kavita in response to the alleged violation.
