In a devastating incident, three individuals were tragically electrocuted during preparations for celebrating Kannada film actor Yash’s birthday in Karnataka’s Gadag district. The victims, identified as Hanumanth Harijan, Murali Naduvinamani, and Naveen Gaaji, were installing a flex banner in Suranagi village of Laxmeshwar taluk when the accident occurred around 1 am.

According to Superintendent of Police, Babasaheb Nemagouda, the fatal mishap occurred due to the banner’s metal frame coming into contact with a HESCOM wire. Three additional individuals sustained injuries in the incident and were promptly transferred to the district hospital for medical attention. An investigation into the matter has been initiated, with a case registered at Lakshmeshwar Police Station.

Amidst the tragedy, Chandru Lamani, Shirhatti MLA, emphasized the importance of public safety, urging citizens to refrain from erecting metallic frame banners. Additionally, Lamani extended a heartfelt appeal to Yash, requesting him to visit the grieving families of the deceased.

The unfortunate incident casts a shadow over Yash’s birthday celebrations, with the KGF star previously announcing his unavailability to meet fans on January 8 due to prior commitments. As investigations continue, the incident serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of safety precautions during public celebrations.
