In the Legislative Assembly held on Monday, the Telangana state finance minister T.Harish Rao dispensed a KCR mark budget with higher distributions to the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) directorate’s flagship schemes and a revenue profusion of Rs 3,754 crore. The total budget expenditure has been set at Rs 2.56 lakh crore, up from the previous year’s budget of Rs 2.31 lakh crore.
Implying revenue profusion of Rs 3,754.58 crore, the revenue receipts were deemed at Rs 1,93, 029.40 crore and outgoings at Rs 1,89,274.82 crore. The revenue expenditure has been estimated at Rs 1.89 lakh crore and capital expenditure at Rs 29,728 crore.
Various schemes like the Dalit Bandhu scheme has the highest amount of Rs 17,700 crore, Rythu Bandhu has Rs 14,800 crore, power subsidy Rs 10,5000 crore, Aasara pensions Rs 11, 728 crore and 2BHK housing scheme Rs 12,000 crore. He also introduced new schemes that include KCR nutrition kits, Rs 3 lakh assistance to construct houses for poor families that own plots, one lakh subsidised motorcycles to construction workers etc.
There is a 16% growth in state’s own tax revenue from Rs 92,910 crore in 2021-22 to Rs 1.08 lakh crore. The purpose of KCR nutrition kit scheme is to avoid the severe anaemia among pregnant women in 9 districts. The kit includes required nutrients. The state’s GSDP has spiked from Rs 4,51,580 crore in 2013-14 to Rs 11,54,860 crore in 2021-22.
