Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has apportioned certain portfolios to four ministers that were manipulated by the late AP minister Mekapati Gautham Reddy who died of heartattack last week. Gautham, being a highly equipped candidate in the whole cabinet, had handled various portfolios related to commerce, industries, Information Technology, Infrastructure and Investments and, skill development and training.
The four ministers who received the responsibilities are :
Education minister *Adimulapu Suresh – In charge of Law and Justice
*Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu – allotted for General Administration department portfolio
*AP Finance minister Bugganna Rajendranath Reddy – Will tackle Public Enterprises and NRI Empowerment
*Animal Husbandry Minister Sidiri Appalaraju – received IT Industries and Skill Development portfolio.
Jagan has revised such portfolios and allocated them to the eligible ministers, in the wake of budget Assembly sessions that were scheduled to begin from March 7th. But the YCP candidates believed that the portfolio handled by gowtham would be kept aside at least for 2 months because Jagan has already committed for the expansion of cabinet. The cabinet meeting which has been scheduled to be held today, has been delayed ascribing to the 11 th day ceremony of Gautham Reddy. Instead, it will be held on 7 th of this month.
