Hyderabad: We Know that the TRS government has decided to revoke GO 111, but it would delay the conclusion of the approach for the Hyderabad Metropolitan region by another year. The work hasn’t taken off yet, even though the chief minister KCR had asked the Administrative Staff College of India to devise a master plan for the Hyderabad Metropolitan region 3 years ago.
To realize their expectations from the far-reaching master plan, officials say that they could contrive the master plan within 3 months according to the direction of the CM, but no meeting was conducted by ASCI with stakeholders like education, health, industries, and power departments. As the government contemplates revoking GO 111, Municipal administration and urban development officials, however, say that the complete master plan was delayed.
The directorate has committed to repealing GO 111, the authorities said that the draft master plan will be prepared within one and half a year. All the polluting industries from the city would be transferred out and industrial estates which aren’t being utilized due to cessation will be converted into green areas, according to the draft master plan.
KCR said that in lieu of depending on a small body like HMDA for the execution of the master plan, for the extensive development of the city, there shall be a larger body comprising experts drawn from different fields such as drinking water, environment, power lines, traffic, and sewerage. Funds are required to be assembled not just from GHMC coffers but from other various sources.
