And now, Google is planning to make the trips easier than ever, announcing new features on Google Maps and toll prices. The specialty of the feature is, that it will make the users calculate the toll amount swiftly even before they start their trip.
The local tolling officials will reveal the toll-related details. With the new feature, the travelers can get to know how much toll they will be charged on the go, and they can come to a decision if they wish to take the road laden with toll gates or take a route that doesn’t have multiple numbers of toll gates. Google Maps offer a reliable price of the toll to the travelers’ destination as per the factors such as the cost of utilizing a toll pass or other payment procedures, the day of the week, and how much toll is expected to cost at a certain time.
The users can choose the route options by clicking on the three dots at the top right of the directions in Google Maps. Additionally, Google has also provided a chance for the users to avoid tolls, in case they want to avoid all the toll routes. The new toll prices will be announced by Google on Android and iOS within this month. And the announcement will be made for nearly 2,000 toll roads in countries like India, Indonesia, Japan, and the US.
Over and above that, the iOS users have a chance of direct navigation from the Apple watch and Google Maps integration into Siri and shortcuts app, through a pinned trip widget which has been initiated by Google. This feature will help users to access trips they have pinned on their Go Tab right from the iOS home screen which will become easier for the users to get directions.
