Story :
Happy Birthday is a new age fictional comedy genre film and the story is unconventional. Defense minister Rithvik Sodhi (Vennela Kishore) leads the movement to amend the Gun laws in India. As a result, gun culture flourishes across the country and everyone carries a gun or an assault rifle. Set in Hyderabad, the story revolves around the Ritz Hotel. The housekeeper of the hotel (Naresh Agasthya) has been hired to replace a lighter which holds significance in the story. Pasupuleti Happy Tripathi (Lavanya Tripathi ) enters the Pub, gets kidnapped by the guys searching for the lighter. These are other fun threats parallel to the main actors. There is a Russian element added to the core story. Rest of the film revolves around the vault.
Review:
The story has been narrated from the charecters’ point of view. The director has mastered this film in a unique method. Vennela Kishore’s interview is funny, satire on the Pub management scenes work, the dialogues on Pub customers who are Pseudo rich came out well. The second half is a boring affair after the vault concert begins. The climax is some what better regarding comedy but totally the film fails to impress the audience.
Technical aspects:
The art work, set designs are excellently built. Kalabhairava’s music is unsuitable to the story of the film linking back the new character to the main story, Ritesh Rana has done a fine job. Remaining all the technical aspects are fine
