Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is a firebrand in his own right, has delivered for Telangana BJP. The saffron party, which is going all out in Telangana to throw out TRS Sarkar from power in the southern state, has invited Himanta as chief guest for Ganesh Utsav celebrations. It was assumed that, Himanta’s visit to Hyderabad which has a history of Hindu-Muslim culture, that too on Ganesh Nimajjan (idols immersion) day, will make news. Adding to BJP’s growing popularity in Telangana, Himanta Biswa Sarma has delivered for BJP’s Telangana unit.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is a controversial yet popular leader, fired on Telangana CM KCR and his family members for turning democracy into a dynasty rule and looting Telangana people, earlier in the day. This obviously irked TRS party, which is already facing heat from local BJP cadres. Later when Himanta Biswa Sarma was speaking at Ganesh Nimajjan procession at Mozamjahi Market, a local TRS leader snatched mike from him. While TRS leader would have succeeded in obstructing Assam CM for a while, he has done more harm than good for TRS. Because keeping aside politics, this is seen as a serious security breach and will surely put Telangana CM KCR Sarkar in a poor light. In the end, it is Telangana BJP which gained from the whole episode as it succeeded in highlighting both the dynasty rule of KCR and failure to provide security to a visiting Chief Minister at national level.
