Amid chanting of Vedic mantras by priests and rithwiks, Telangana chief minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao inaugurated the renovated Yadadri temple complex yesterday accompanied by his wife and family members, ministers, MLAs, MLCs, TRS chiefs and authorities. The rituals began at 9 am with Maha Poornahuthi.
The ministers joined the rituals at around 9.45 am. At the beginning of the ceremony, CM participated in Mahakumbha Samprokshana after receiving the Veda Ashirvachanam. He performed kalasha pujas for an hour, sitting on a platform built at the top of the temple’s Vimana Rajagopuram. He also took part in the shobha yatra, carrying the idols of the presiding deities from the Balalayam. He carried palanquin of the idols.
KCR spent nearly 5 hours at the temple premises. Totally 92 rithwiks performed Samprokshana to the Sri Sudarshana Swarna Chakra atop the Divya Vimanam and the Swarna Kalashams on 6 gopurams simultaneously. The architects, engineers and officials who lend their hands in renovation works were praised by the chief minister and other ministers.
