India reported 3,275 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of positive cases to 4,30,91,393. The country also recorded 55 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 523,975. The Health Ministry said the daily positivity rate stands at 1.07%, while the weekly positivity rate was 0.70%. More than 3,000 people have recuperated from the deadly virus, taking the total number of Covid recoveries in the country to 4,25,47,699.
In the last 24 hours, Mizoram reported 45 new Covid cases, increasing the tally to 2,27,645. But there are no news fatalities reported in the last 24 hours, so, the number of deaths remained at 697. It had logged 44 fresh infections yesterday. The state’s daily positivity rate stands at 7%. So far, 2,26,540 people have recovered from the virus, and there are 408 active cases in the state currently.
The number of Covid-related deaths in the last 24 hours is 55, Kerala added 52 backlog deaths. Under the countrywide vaccination drive, 189.63 crore Covid vaccine doses have been administered so far. At present, India’s active Covid caseload stands at 19,719. Active cases stand at a rate of 0.05%, recovery rate stands at 98.74%.
Country’s total recoveries are 4,25,47,699. The daily positivity rate stands at 0.77%, weekly positivity rate is at 0.78%. In the last 24 hours, 4,23,430 crore tests were conducted in India. There is a marginal rise in the positive cases when compared to yesterday.
