On Tuesday, the Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya said, “We handled the Covid-19 pandemic so efficiently under the guidance of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” He also claimed to other countries across the world that India is the leader in the health sector in manipulating Covid at its best.
He said the Central and state governments have to work with one accord in the health sector. When he was questioned on the sophistication of healthcare facilities in the country, he answered that there was no gap between the Centre and the states while dealing with issues in the health sector.
The MP of Trinamool Congress Derek O’ Brien has also raised his question to Mandaviya about the medical bills of ex-servicemen, and then Mandaviya replied that the government is decided towards the welfare of the ex-servicemen and always looks forward to offer required services to those with Central Government Health Scheme cards. Further, the minister of state health, Bharati Pawar has responded to the question asked by the member of Samajwadi party Rewati Raman Singh. He said that altogether, 22 All India Institutes of Medical Sciences are being instituted in the country.
Among them, 10 AIIs were proposed in the first phase, and only 6 have commenced their duties with all departments. Pawar said that over 15,000 patients are being examined at these 6 AIIMS, over 7,000 major and minor surgeries have been performing in these AIIMS while the OPD facility in another 10 AIIMS will begin within a short period of time.
