BRS High Command suspended former Minister and its senior leader Jupally Krishna Rao on Monday. With this, Kollapur politics have taken an interesting turn.
Jupally Krishna Rao represented Kollapur constituency several times and even served as Minister in both Congress and TRS governments. He was considered one among the powerful leaders in undivided Mahabubnagar district.
Jupally Krishna Rao was among the first to support KCR during the Telangana movement. But he lost to Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy of Congress in 2018 elections and was sidelined by BRS High Command.
The reason for Jupally Krishna Rao’s dissatisfaction over KCR, is the defection of Harshavardhan Reddy from Congress to BRS. Since then BRS party got divided into two groups in Kollapur. With the suspension of Jupally Krishna Rao now, Kollapur politics have taken even more interesting turn.
