Popular-heroine-turned politician Vijayashanti is right now in BJP. After having an uneventful stint in Congress, she came back to BJP, with which she started her political journey. But it seems she is unhappy with Telangana BJP leadership. Because, while the Telangana BJP is zooming ahead in the state, Vijayashanti, a generally ferocious person, appears to be maintaining a low profile. The reason is said to be internal politics in Telangana BJP.
Telangana and Andhra Pradesh BJP state units are known for their stealthy internal politics. Many heavyweights have failed to deal with the internal politics of Telugu states BJP. Many old BJP leaders, who are insecure of their position in the party, try to obstruct popular leaders in the party. Vijayashanti, who is a leader in her own right is popular and also has ability to pull crowds. Also she has served as MP and at one stage ran her own party. So naturally many in Telangana BJP feel threatened by her and are said to be making efforts to sideline her.
This is said to be irking Vijayashanti, who is a naturally independent leader and does not like to be dictated and restricted. She has even differed with a leader like KCR and stood her ground. But it seems, she is miffed with covert politics of Telangana BJP.
