To make BJP the victorious party in 2024 elections in AP, the party chief JP Nadda called upon its leaders and activists to strengthen the party in the state. On Monday, he visited Andhra Pradesh and addressed the Shakti Kendra Pramukhs and highlighted the significance of the party reaching out to the people booth-wise.
He said that the state was having 46,000 polling booths. Nearly 2,500 Shaki Kendras out of 10,000, were having local committees and felt the need to set them up. He also said that the extant of the poor in the country has diminished to 10% from 22 in these 8 years of Modi’s rule.
He said the Indian GDP recorded a growth of 8.7, against the US GDP of 4.6%. India’s per capita income has risen to 1.5 lakh while the GDP growth doubled and exports viewed a record growth. As of now, India’s economy has crossed the 3 trillion dollar mark.
The BJP president of Andhra Pradesh Somu Veerraju said, “We shall set up Shakti Kendras in every polling booth area as a component of the efforts to make the party an alternative power-centre in the state politics. We will fight against anti-people policies and family rule, up to the polling booth level.”
He also said that the prime minister Narendra Modi had been developing AP since 2014. After the division of Andhra Pradesh, there was no capital city in spite of the state containing plenty of natural resources. Modi had ensured development for Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh through the state BJP directorates.
“The BJP is having a unique character compared to other political parties as worked on the basis of an ideology and a plan of action”, said the BJP national secretary Purandhareswari.
