Dynamic director Puri Jagannath is waiting for his upcoming movie Liger, which has the sensational actor Vijay Devarakonda and Ananya Panday as the leading lights. The film is slated to hit the screens on the 25th of this month. As its release date is approaching, the team is currently in its way of promoting the movie aggressively in various parts of the country.
During the promotions, the director said that he had chosen the Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor initially for the role of the female lead in both his new projects Liger and Jana Gana Mana. But as Janhvi feels the shooting dates are inconvenient for her to attend, the director went on ahead for Ananya Panday for Liger. But, it is yet to be revealed about the female lead in Jana Gana Mana.
Soon after the release of Liger, Puri Jagannath will concentrate on Jana Gana Mana, which also has Vijay Devarakonda as the lead. Coming to Liger, it is billed to be a sports-based drama that showcases Vijay as a stringent MMA fighter.
American proficient boxer Mike Tyson plays a crucial role in this pan-India movie. Whereas, Ramya Krishna is the encouraging mother of Vijay Devarakonda in the movie. Ronit Roy and others will be seen as other supporting characters. Liger will run at a time period of 2 hours and 20 minutes. Dharma Productions and Puri Connect jointly produced the film.
